Bolton Wanderers player ratings in Ipswich Town rout - Dapo Afolayan brilliant as Eoin Doyle impressive

Joel Dixon - 6

Could do little about second goal in particular. Stopped everything he needed to after the break.

Gethin Jones - 7

Booked in first half for hauling back Sone Aluko, but put in great pass to tee up Afolayan for Bolton's third goal on stroke of half-time. Seemed to grow as the game wore on.

Ricardo Almeida Santos - 7

Long pass led to Afolayan's equaliser early on. Ipswich second goal went in off the defender, but peach of a cross to pick out Johnston for fifth goal.

George Johnston - 7

Several important aerial clearances and tried to take ball out of defence. Got goal which helped kill Ipswich off with strike which was cherry on top of the cake.

Liam Gordon - 6

Kept place in team at left-back but failed to stop Burns deliver cross which led to opener. Made up for it with assist for Afolayan shortly after, but then could have done better arguably to stop supply for Ipswich second goal. A mixed afternoon but recovered after break.

MJ Williams - 7

Some decent passes at times from the midfielder, as well as some free kicks given away, but a solid afternoon's work in the centre of the park.

Returned to side after international duty and worked hard in the middle, being rewarded with a goal which helped put result beyond doubt.

Antoni Sarcevic - 7

Skipper was busy in the middle and helped keep things alive which led to Sheehan scoring Bolton's fourth.

Lloyd Isgrove - 6

Busy up and down the flanks but lacked much of an impact in the final third. Was replaced by Kachunga after the hour mark.

Eoin Doyle - 8

Put Wanderers ahead from the penalty spot and led line superbly all afternoon with example of a performance.

Dapo Afolayan - 9

Grabbed eqauliser with low shot throuigh Walton's legs and then won the penalty which led to Bolton taking lead. Scored second with sublime curling finish past Christian Walton in a fantastic show from the atrtacker.
