Bolton Wanderers midfielder agrees new one-year deal with League One club

Midfielder Andrew Tutte has put pen to paper on a new one-year contract at Bolton Wanderers.

The 30-year-old joined the club last summer after leaving Morecambe and went on to make 20 appearances in all competitions for Wanderers.

Most of those appearances came in the first half of the season and Tutte found starting places difficult to come by following the arrival of MJ Williams in the January transfer window.

But the former Bury midfielder was a near ever present in the Wanderers matchday squad and made his final appearance of the season off the bench in the 1-0 win on the road over Forest Green Rovers.

And he has now agreed fresh terms with Wanderers and will be part of the squad again as Bolton head into League One after achieving automatic promotion.

He becomes the latest Wanderers player to agree a new contract with the club, following Gethin Jones and Lloyd Isgrove, while Oladapo Afolayan is joining Bolton on a permanent basis and put pen to paper on a three-year deal after his departure from Premier League side West Ham United.

Wanderers boss Ian Evatt said: "Tuttey has been a huge part of the dressing room and was a pleasure to work with all season.

”When he has played his has been consistent and adds quality and competition to the squad.”
