Bolton Wanderers loan watch as defender scores again for National League club

Bolton Wanderers currently have a clutch of players out on loan racking up valuable minutes under their belts.

While the University of Bolton Stadium outfit are sitting in the League Two play-offs at present, there are several away from Wanderers in leagues in both England and Ireland.

Liam Gordon, Muhammadu Faal and Jak Hickman are in the National League with Dagenham & Redbridge, Barnet and King's Lynn Town.

Jamie Mascoll is spending the rest of the campaign with Waterford in Ireland, while Ali Crawford is at Bolton's League Two rivals Tranmere Rovers.

Callum King-Harmes has been due to be on loan at Bamber Bridge for the campaign, but this season's Northern Premier League has been curtailed in light of the coronavirus pandemic.

In the National League, left-back Gordon scored his third goal of his time back with the Daggers in their 1-1 draw against Weymouth.

He burst from the halfway line and cut inside to curl an effort into the top corner to give the hosts the lead, before Jake McCarthy netted an equaliser for Weymouth.

After scoring on the 13th appearance of his loan spell, Gordon said: "As everyone probably knows, I'm an attacking full-back so I was just driving and I saw it open.

"The boys have told me to trust my right foot so then I just shot and luckily it was a good finish."

Faal has turned out 17 times for the Bees in all competitions since joining on loan in November, scoring once in that period, and last 68 minutes of Barnet's loss to Stockport County at Edgeley Park on Tuesday evening.

Hickman has played just once for King's Lynn after having to be taken off on his debut for the club against Wealdstone after picking up a hamstring injury.

Since arriving at Prenton Park, attacking midfielder Crawford has played twice and been an unused substitute six times, heading into this evening's game against Grimsby Town.

Mascoll meanwhile recently started Waterford's pre-season friendly against Wexford over the weekend.

He played the entire match as Waterford warmed up for their Airtricity League Premier Division opener against Drogheda United this Friday with a 1-0 win.
