Bolton Wanderers lineup vs Sheffield Wednesday confirmed as five changes made

Bolton Wanderers boss Ian Evatt has made five changes to his side for today's clash against Sheffield Wednesday.

More than 21,000 tickets have been sold for the clash at the University of Bolton Stadium as the hosts aim to top their record crowd since dropping out of the Premier League. Some 5,000 Owls fans poised to be in attendance too as two of the sides with aspirations to be near the top of the table by the end of the season will take on each other.

Wanderers go into the encounter unbeaten so far this season and are fourth in the table on eight points. The Owls are just behind the Whites with seven points, and sit eighth after the midweek loss on the road to Peterborough United.

Wanderers go into the game on the back of a 1-0 win over Morecambe. Evatt has made five changes from that team.

Captain Ricardo Santos returns from suspension in the middle of the back three and is joined by Gethin Jones and George Johnston. Goalkeeper James Trafford continues.

In the wing-back role, Liverpool loanee Conor Bradley continues on the right. Jack Iredale comes into the team on the left.

In central midfield, MJ Williams will anchor in front of the back four. In front of him, Aaron Morley and Kyle Dempsey are poised to be in a more advanced midfield role.

Upfront, Amadou Bakayoko is partnered by Dapo Afolayan. On the bench this afternoon for Wanderers are Declan John, Kieran Sadlier, Jon Dadi Bodvarsson, Dion Charles, Will Aimson, Kieran Lee and Elias Kachunga.
