Bolton Wanderers lineup confirmed vs Sheffield Wednesday as three changes made from Portsmouth draw

Bolton Wanderers boss Ian Evatt has made three changes from the side which drew to Portsmouth for today's game against Sheffield Wednesday.

Bolton have five games of their campaign left to go and are seeking to finish as high up the League One table as possible since the midweek draw versus Pompey realistically put an end to their play-offs aspirations.

Darren Moore's side meanwhile are in the top six as things stand and will be seeking to solidify their place with a positive result this weekend.

Though this afternoon's clash now perhaps has more riding on it for the Owls than it does Wanderers, the Whites will be seeking to finish as high up the table as possible and end the campaign on a high as they build towards challenging for promotion out of League One next season.

Wanderers were hit with hamstring injuries to captain Ricardo Santos, attacker Dapo Afolayan and midfielder Kyle Dempsey in the draw to Pompey.

And as a result, Evatt has made three changes to his side to take on the Owls this afternoon at the University of Bolton Stadium.

James Trafford lines up as goalkeeper while the defence is poised to be Gethin Jones, Will Aimson and George Johnston.

In central midfield this afternoon will be MJ Williams and Aaron Morley, with Kieran Sadlier and Declan John as the wing-backs.

And upfront for Wanderers will be Elias Kachunga as number 10 inbehind Jon Dadi Bodvarsson and Dion Charles.

On the bench this afternoon for Wanderers is Afolayan who makes the bench, alongside Joel Dixon, Amadou Bakayoko, Xavier Amaechi, George Thomason, Alex Baptiste and Liam Gordon.
