Bolton Wanderers injury latest on Kieran Lee, Dapo Afolayan & Kyle Dempsey ahead of Doncaster

Bolton Wanderers have been boosted by the return to selection of Dapo Afolayan and Declan John for tomorrow's clash against Doncaster Rovers but Kieran Lee's season is over.

Wanderers head to Yorkshire to take on Donny tomorrow for a 3pm kick-off in League One with four games left to go of their campaign.

They are aiming to finish as high up the top half of the League One table as possible, while Gary McSheffrey's side are fighting to remain in the division.

They sit five points from safety heading into the upcoming fixtures, though Doncaster gave themselves a glimmer of hope thanks to a 2-0 win over Crewe Alexandra last weekend, a result which relegated the Railwaymen to League Two.

Wanderers have been boosted by the return of John and Afolayan, but Lee will not be seen again in action until next season now.

Afolayan returned to the squad last weekend but was an unused substitute last weekend against Sheffield Wednesday after suffering a hamstring injury, while Dempsey was not involved at all due to having the same problem.

Lee has been out of action of late after an operation on a heel spur and is still recovering from that, while John was taken off in the draw against the Owls owing to a tight hamstring, but will be back for tomorrow's clash.

Evatt said: "Declan John is fit and available. Dapo Afolayan is fit and available. Other than that, I think that’s it.

“Demps is getting closer and closer. He’s desperate to be back involved but it’s risk and reward.

"We’ll monitor him. Kieran, we won’t see again this season, not that anything wrong has happened, it’s just the level of healing that’s taking place on his heel and the wound in particular is still very, very sore when he puts his football boots on, so where we’re at right now, we don’t need to take any risks with him and it’ll just b a reboot, restart and go again from the start of pre-season.

“Josh Sheehan is progressing really well. He’s back running again which is a really positive sign and he looks fantastic, I must say, physically. He’s really strengthened up so he’ll back back at the start of pre-season.

“Ricardo (Almeida Santos) will be fine again. Tuttey (Andrew Tutte) is back and joined his first session back in today which is good news for him. Izzy (Lloyd Isgrove) has a long road ahead but mentally is in a much better place now. I think he’s got his head around that, so there’s lots of positive signs."
