Bolton Wanderers handed boost on injury front as midfielder back available against Southend United

Bolton Wanderers skipper Antoni Sarcevic is back available and is poised to be involved this weekend against Southend United.

The midfielder has been out injured after picking up a groin problem in the loss to Tranmere Rovers.

He has missed the last four League Two matches.

But Wanderers boss Ian Evatt has confirmed in the lead-up to this weekend's trip to Root's Hall that his captain will be back involved this weekend.

Evatt confirmed that Wanderers did not pick up any fresh injury issues in the 3-2 win on the road over Mansfield Town last night.

Evatt said: “We’re all good and all ready to go. Sarce is back involved this weekend so he’ll add me another headache in joining the squad, so there’s serious competition for places which is great.

“Sarce is a fantastic player, no doubt. He’s a big player for this football club so it’s great to have him back.”
