Bolton Wanderers fans make Arthur Gnahoua demand following Cheltenham draw

Bolton Wanderers fans have called for Arthur Gnahoua to be awarded a place in the starting XI after he once again made the difference from the bench on Saturday.

Despite a dominating performance against Cheltenham Town in which they enjoyed 65 per cent possession and 15 shots on goal, Wanderers could only draw at the University of Bolton Stadium.

The Whites looked much better lining up in a 4-3-3 formation and squandered several big chances to take the lead before Alfie May struck for the visitors early in the second-half.

Manager Ian Evatt quickly sought to change things. He introduced Gnahoua off the bench and the striker soon began to turn things back in Bolton's favour. It was his great work on the right of the box to pick our Eoin Doyle that set up the equaliser with just four minutes left on the clock.

The crucial contribution comes after the 28-year-old came off the bench and scored the equaliser in Tuesday's match at Exeter City.

With two great cameo appearances in succession, fans now want to see Gnahoua given an opportunity from the first whistle, starting with next Saturday's trip to bitter rivals Tranmere Rovers.

After the game Evatt gave his thoughts on Gnahoua's performance. He said: “He’s an impact player, he’s someone that we don’t know what he’s going to do but he’s got talent.

"If we can get some structure into him and pitch intelligence then he’s going to be a major threat”
