Bolton Wanderers striker Eoin Doyle has been linked with a move to Irish side St Patrick's Athletic in the upcoming January transfer window.
The 33-year-old forward is Wanderers' vice-captain and scored 19 goals for the University of Bolton Stadium club as Ian Evatt's side won promotion out of League Two.
Doyle has been a regular once again for Wanderers this season in League One and has found the back of the net seven times in all competitions so far, though only four of these have been in the league.

Reports have now emerged from Doyle's native Republic of Ireland that St Pat's are keen on Doyle and according to the Irish Independent, are eyeing up a move for the striker in the upcoming window, who has 18 months left to run on a three-year deal he signed when he joined Bolton in 2020.
Wanderers fans have taken to Twitter to have their say on the prospect of the club's top scorer last season moving on to pastures new and potentially back to his homeland.
With Dion Charles anticpated to be a January transfer window arrival from Accrington Stanley, many Bolton supporters appear relaxed at the prospect of Doyle potentially departing, but feel that another striker would be needed in the building alongside Charles to fill the void which would be created.
But fans are generally grateful for the contributions that Doyle has made in a Wanderers shirt since joining the club in the summer of 2020.
Scott Bowers wrote: "Not fussed about Doyle leaving, but would like to see us bring another striker in if he does leave."
Ian Rowbottom wrote: "Funny to see so many who said we needed an additional striker happy to see him go. Which leaves us with only 2 strikers again."
@CianranBWFC2002 posted: "He can go for me, quality in League Two but just hasn't cut it so far this season. Bringing in Dion will boost our attributes infront of goal and I'm sure another front man is lined up. Along with Amadou on his way back we'll be stacked with options attacking wise."
@Joe93854993 posted: "This man no matter how he’s been deserves an awful lot of credit and respect. He was our main firepower in the promotion last term. If he’s not still been firing, he’s definitely still been running and putting in the effort. Has my respect and good luck if he does move on."
@Lewis93_ posted: "Deserved a chance after getting us up but he's been way way off it this season. Wouldn't be against it if we could bring in someone else with Charles."
@ab1d03 posted: "I love him but he’s past it now I’m afraid so I wouldn’t be against it."
@TrottersDan posted: "Can’t say I’d be fussed about this, as long as we bring in a replacement alongside Charles. Not good enough for this level. Makes sense to move him on now, free up wages to improve the squad for the second half of the season. Good luck to him."
Some supporters, however, do not agree with the idea of Doyle departing.
Mark Flatley wrote: "I, personally, wouldn’t let Doyle go in Jan, we need as many bodies as we can get at the minute! He can still offer something too, in my eyes!"
@MattyDownes28 posted: "I'd personally keep him as a back up till the end of the season. If he goes now we are going to need to bring in 2 strikers who can finish. Regardless, he's a Wanderers legend- most amount of goals since Michael Ricketts in the early 2000's- and it got us promoted."
