Bolton Wanderers confirmed matchday team and squad for Rotherham United as three changes made

Bolton Wanderers boss Ian Evatt has made three changes to his side to take on Rotherham United today.

Wanderers are back in action in League One for the first time in three weeks after a series of games were postponed owing to a Covid-19 outbreak at the club.

Matches versus Wycombe Wanderers, Morecambe and Burton Albion were called off and means the club's last game was against Accrington Stanley on December 11.

Wanderers sit 15th in the table as things stand heading into the encounter and Evatt has made three changes to the side which lost 1-0 to Stanley in mid-December.

Joel Dixon lines up as goalkeeper, with a back four in front of him as Adam Senior as right-back with Declan John playing as left-back, with Ricardo Almeida Santos and Will Aimson as the central defenders.

Central midfield today for Wanderers will be George Thomason and George Johnston, with Nathan Delfouneso playing in the number 10 role.

And upfront, Elias Kachunga is poised to line up on the right, with Dapo Afolayan on the left and Eoin Doyle through the middle.

There is no place in the squad for Kieran Lee or MJ Williams, while new signing Dion Charles has not been registered in time for today's game and Bolton await clearance on Xavier Aamechi's loan being extended.

On the bench today for Wanderers are Matt Gilks, Amadou Bakayoko, Harry Brockbank, Alex Baptiste, Liam Gordon, Matt Tweedley and Arran Pettifer.
