Bolton Wanderers confirm defender has signed new two-year contract ahead of League One campaign

Harry Brockbank has signed a new two-year deal with Bolton Wanderers.

The 22-year-old Bolton-born defender, who graduated through the club’s Academy ranks to play professional football for his hometown team, featured in 19 games for Wanderers last season in all competitions.

He made his debut for the club in April 2019 and captained a young Bolton Wanderers team to a 0-0 draw against Coventry City the following August.

He has played 30 times for the club after making his debut and was deployed across the defence by boss Ian Evatt last season, the majority of his appearances coming in the first to mid part of the campaign.

Brockbank's deal at the University of Bolton Stadium was poised to run out this summer, but the club opened talks over a new deal and came to a successful conclusion.

Wanderers manager Evatt said: “I am delighted that Harry has agreed a new contract.

"He has Bolton Wanderers in his veins and it is great for us to have home grown talent in our squad.

“He was very consistent when called upon last season and is developing into a leader in the dressing room.”
