Newly promoted Bolton Wanderers are closing in on a move for former Sunderland goalkeeper Joel Dixon, according to reports.
Bolton News claim that the Trotters are in pole position to sign the out of contract shot-stopper.
Wanderers boss Ian Evatt is no stranger to the former Sunderland trainee, having coached the goalkeeper at his previous club Barrow.

The 27-year-old is out of this summer and has been on Bolton's radar for the past few weeks with reports claiming that a deal is "understood to be close."
Dixon came through the Academy of Light and went out on a number of loan moves to Boston United, Gateshead before making a permanent move to Cumbria when his contract on Wearside expired.
He made 48 appearances at Holker Street last season and played played 65 times for Evatt's Barrow side as they won the National League title.
Previous reports suggested that the League Two side were keen on keeping him at Holker Street, but having just signed Carlisle United stopper Paul Farman, it looks as though Dixon is set to join Bolton.
