Ivor Bolton will conduct the Yomiuri Nippon Symphony Orchestra in its annual December concerts of Beethoven's Symphony No. 9 "Choral."
The British maestro is renowned for his masterful conducting at major music festivals, such as the Salzburg Festival, and as the general music director of Teatro Real Madrid among other commitments.
The soloists for the forthcoming concerts are soprano Sylvia Schwartz, mezzo-soprano Kaori Ikeda, tenor Yusuke Kobori and baritone Thomas Oliemans. They will be joined by the New National Theatre Chorus.
