Bolton man set to be sentenced after admitting to string of drugs offences

A drug dealer is set to be sentenced next month after pleading guilty to a string of offences.

During a plea hearing at Bolton Crown Court, Gary John Ernest Boote, 30, admitted to being concerned in the supply of cocaine; being concerned in the supply of cannabis; possession of cocaine with intent to supply; and simple possession of cannabis.

Boote, of Darwen Road, Bromley Cross, admitted to being concerned in the supply of cannabis for a 16-month period, between January 24 2019 and May 15 2020. He was also concerned in the supply of cocaine between March 4 2020 and May 15 2020.

The two possession charges both relate to offences on May 14 2020.

Defence barrister Nicholas Ross told the court that Boote is a registered carer for his mother, who has terminal cancer.

Judge Timothy Stead adjourned for sentencing on March 2.

He released Boote on unconditional bail, while a pre-sentence report is written.
