Bolton grandma goes viral following hilarious YouTube food review

A grandma who runs a successful takeaway business out of her terraced house has become an internet sensation, thanks to a hilarious YouTube video.

YouTube channel Rate My Takeaway visited Marion Love's home in Charles Street, Farnworth, and ordered a full English breakfast, along with some home-made cookies.

Host Danny Malin then set up a portable table outside her house to eat and review the food.

The video, which has been described by one commenter as 'the most northern video in history', has been viewed more than 700,000 times since being uploaded on April 11.

Self-taught cook Ms Love is no stranger to social media herself and had already amassed more than 30,000 followers between the Facebook and Instagram pages of her business Grandma's Kitchen.

The 50-year-old said that the video has boosted her following even more and has been inundated with messages of support since it was uploaded.

She said: "It's all gone a bit crazy! The YouTube algorithm has just been suggesting it to everybody.

"He's done other videos as well but it was a bit different, with being outside my house, and people seem to like it.

"I've probably gained 1,000 followers and loads of people have been giving me love and support. It's just blowing up."

In 2019, Ms Love announced plans to open a cafe in Piggott Street, Farnworth, but construction was delayed due to the pandemic.

Building work is now well underway and it's hoped that it will be ready to open in summer.

She added: "It's going brilliantly.

"Covid didn't help but it is what it is and I'm a believer that everything happens at the right time when it's meant to.

"Things are looking great, we're looking at the end of July/August when, fingers crossed, we can open."
