MILAN (Reuters) - Bologna coach Sinisa Mihajlovic has been discharged from hospital after completing a third cycle of treatment for leukaemia, his wife Arianna and the club said on Instagram on Wednesday.

The 50-year-old, who announced in July that he had a severe form of leukaemia, had begun his latest spell in hospital on Oct. 21. He has been in constant touch with his team and has coached them at several matches this season when doctors have allowed.

Serbian Mihajlovic, who was famous for scoring spectacular free kicks as a player, took over as Bologna coach last January, helping the team recover from the threat of relegation to finish 10th in the table.

Bologna are 15th in the table with 12 points.
