Bolly Buzz! After his cameo in 'Brahmastra' Shah Rukh Khan's fans demand a spin-off for 'Vanarastra', and Akshay Kumar's ad lands the actor in trouble

From Shah Rukh Khan’s fans demanding a spin-off movie for 'Vanarastra' to Urmila Matondkar revealing if she has a new addition to her family, another Akshay Kumar ad landing him in trouble and more, here are the biggest headlines of the day.

A cameo for King Khan was simply not enough for his fans who stormed Twitter to demand a spin-off movie on scientist Mohan Bhargav who possessed the 'Vanarastra'. Shah Rukh Khan’s impressive cameo in 'Brahmastra', lit up the cinema halls and we have all the videos as proof. "His back story deserves a movie of its own," said a die-hard fan.

Urmila Matondkar's husband, Mohsin Akhtar shared a picture with a baby girl giving many reasons to speculate that they expanded their family by one. "Happiest 1st Birthday my little princess Aira" Mohsin said in his caption. Urmila, however, revealed, "Aira is my niece." Mohsin also added, "Aira is my brother's daughter. I started getting messages so I corrected the caption on my post."

After the uproar over Akshay Kumar signing an elaichi ad, the actor found himself in hot water again, this time, for allegedly promoting dowry. The minute-long clip, set during a 'bidaai' ceremony, sees a teary bride sit in the car while her father sees her off. That's when the actor steps in to tell the dad to send her and the groom in a car equipped with six airbags instead of a vehicle equipped with just two. Another pointed out how the ad comes just a month after Akshay released a feature film ‘Raksha Bandhan’, which focused on dowry culture and likened it to ‘extortion’.

In the latest on the Jiah Khan case, the Bombay High Court dismissed a petition filed by Rabia Khan seeking a fresh investigation into the nine-year-old case. A division bench of Justices A S Gadkari and M N Jadhav noted that it has faith in the agency that probed the case. Rabia, in her petition, sought a fresh probe by an independent and special agency with assistance from the United States's Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). She claimed that her daughter was murdered.

Shanaya Kapoor's debut 'Bedhadak' will start shooting by the end of the year. Sanjay Kapoor revealed, "Shanaya will be shooting for the film by the end of this year or early next year." Not too long ago, there were speculations that the film might have been shelved or delayed, but going by daddy Kapoor, the project is right on track.
