Boli Bolingoli-Mbombo is in Glasgow as he closes in on his £3million move to Premiership champions Celtic.
The Rapid Vienna left-back was all smiles as he touched down in Scotland and was joined by the club's physio Tim Williamson.
Bolingoli-Mbombo is set to become Celtic's third summer signing after the arrivals of Toulouse defender Christopher Jullien and Luca Connell from Bolton.
The 22-year-old is poised to complete his Parkhead switch before Thursday's Champions League signing deadline and could make his debut against Sarajevo on Tuesday.
Boss Neil Lennon spoke about the rampaging full back in the aftermath of his side's 0-0 draw with St Gallen and is excited to get the Belgian up to speed.
He said: "We are not to far away and he will be another good addition to the squad.
“He gives us competition at left back, he’s strong, athletic and good on the ball.
“He fits the criteria and hopefully he’ll be in before Thursday.”
Bolingoli-Mbombo will be tasked with providing an instant impact with Kieran Tierney still recovering from double hernia surgery.
And the Hoops star is also a target for Arsenal and Napoli with the Hoops holding out for £25m for their star turn.
But Timothy Castagne – a former Hoops target – has reportedly emerged as an alternative signing for the Serie A side.
The potential Tierney-to-Arsenal tale has taken a further twist on Wednesday evening. Left-back Nacho Monreal has terminated his contract with the English Premier League side – prompting the suggestion Arsenal will make another bid for the Scotland star.
