'Boli Bolingoli is actually better!' - Celtic fans tell Kieran Tierney he's free to join Arsenal

Arsenal's pursuit of Celtic full-back Kieran Tierney has been one of the biggest transfer stories of the summer so far.

Unai Emery has already seen two bids rejected for the left-back, the second though to be in the region of £25m - a record purchase from a Scottish team.

But, despite the Gunners' attempts to prise the 22-year-old away from Celtic, the player still remains in Scotland, at least for now.

Arsenal, however, could have received a boost in their hopes of persuading Celtic to sell Tierney this summer, as new signing Boli Bolingoli has been deputising for the full-back in the club's pre-season games while Tierney recovers from injury.

Boli was seen by some as a 'replacement' for Tierney when he signed for £3m from Rapid Vienna earlier in the window.

The new signing played in Celtic's Champions League Qualifier against FK Sarajevo on Wednesday evening.

Should he continue the way he started, then t may mean that Neil Lennon's men will be more amiable to doing a deal that will see Arsenal bring Kieran Tierney to the Emirates Stadium.

Take a look below for what some Celtic fans had to say on their new left-back.

Although some may not be quite as convinced as others...

Arsenal have competition from Italian side Napoli for the Celtic full-back.

It is expected that the 22-year-old will recover from his injury within a month, meaning that should a deal be completed, he may be available for Arsenal's opening Premier League game against Newcastle.
