Boli Bolingoli discovers SFA fate as Celtic outcast is hammered for coronavirus breach

Boli Bolingoli has been hammered by the SFA for his coronavirus breach.

The left-back failed to quarantine on his return from Spain putting the restart of Scottish football in jeopardy.

Celtic's Premiership fixtures against St Mirren and Aberdeen were postponed as a result.

But Bolingoli has been heavily disciplined for his actions and hit with a five match ban from the governing body after receiving a notice of complaint.

Two of the matches are suspended, however, and the full punishment will only take effect if he breaches Rules 24 and/or 71 again before February 28 2021.

The Parkhead club will now continue their own disciplinary investigation into the matter as his future at Celtic looks to be over.

Neil Lennon admitted on Friday at his press conference he has not been integrated back into the team following his period of isolation.

He said: "The SFA will decide and then we will have our own, in-house disciplinary process. It's dragged on a little bit now. He's not in the squad so we'll need to have a look at that and see when and if he can come back in."
