Bold Street tapas restaurant has closed after four months of business

A Bold Street restaurant has closed its doors this week after just four and a half months of business.

El Pecado was a tapas restaurant on popular Bold Street that opened in early April.

The restaurant was building a respectable reputation, with more than 40 five star reviews on Trip Advisor since its opening.

One reviewer said: "Competitively priced and delicious food well served. I would dare to say the best tapas I have had outside of Spain !"

While another titled their review a "hidden gem" and said: "Lovely little place. Food was beautifully presented and delicious. Customer service was impeccable. Our waitress was lovely. What more can you ask for?"

And another keen customer titled their review "Incredible!!!!!!!!!" and said: "My parents and I went for lunch today at El Pecado and we were blown away how nice this place was...

"Very cheap for what we had and the service was really excellent. We'll surely be coming back for some more Spanish tapas with a twist."

A spokesperson for the restaurant told the ECHO: "The restaurant was really well received, we had great feedback and everyone loved the food and the concept.

"The owners were struggling with the size of the unit though - it's just too small.

"They're scouting for a new, bigger location in the city and then they'll definitely be back."
