Satu Suikkari-Kleven, Finnish ambassador to Thailand, presided over the launch of the Marimekko summer 2019 collection, held recently at Neilson Hays Library on Surawong Road.

The event was hosted by Tanapong Chirapanidchakul, CEO, and Praewpailyn Aimaksorn, brand manager at Tanachira, the distributor of Marimekko fashion and lifestyle products in Thailand.

The new collection was presented via a fashion show themed "Bold By Nature", with designs combining modern silhouettes with bold prints, such as classic poppy Unikko, stylised flower Vikuri, folk art-inspired Onni and tropical Viidakko.

Marimekko signature prints were also seen off the runway, as many high-profile guests wore the eye-catching ready-to-wear to the event.
