Bojan Miovski raring to face Celtic as he makes Rangers vow

Bojan Miovski was really happy to hear that Rangers were interested in him, with the striker eager to make his debut against Celtic

The ex-Aberdeen striker has spoken for the first time since penning a four-year deal at Ibrox

"I was really happy," Miovski told RangersTV when asked what he first thought about a potential move to Glasgow. "I already knew the club. I'd been here [Scotland] two years. I know the history behind the club, so to be honest, it means a lot to me.

"I'm really looking forward to making my own history with this club.

"I spoke with a lot of people from Scotland. I have a lot of friends. They only said good words about Rangers.

"Aberdeen bought me when I was in Hungary. It was a great step for me. I spent two amazing years there. And of course, life moves on. I went to Spain, another experience, a different experience."

Rangers have shelled out £2.6million on Miovski, although that fee could rise to £4.2m with add-ons.

The 26-year-old was asked what he can bring to his new club.

Miovski said: "Probably goals! I'm a really positive guy. As I say, I will try to give my best for the fans and make them happy with the goals and trophies.

"I played in La Liga, I have good experience there. When I was at Aberdeen, I played in Europe. I've played some big games for the national team so for me it's nothing new.

"It was a busy three days, but I'm happy I'm here. I trained with the boys, I met all of the boys, all of them are really good guys. Some of them I know. From the first day, they've helped me a lot."

Miovski is expected to be registered in team to feature in Rangers' game against Celtic at Ibrox tomorrow.

Having prepared well for he new campaign, he is raring to go: "I did a full pre-season with my previous team," said the forward. "I played friendly games. I played the first La Liga game with Girona, so I don't have any problem.

"The Old Firm derby, we know the history behind it. I don't need to say a lot of words about the history of this game. Of course, I am excited that it will be my first game, and I hope we get the three points and I score goals."
