What’s Going To Happen
Normally, Boise State would chill it out a bit this week and cruise on into the Mountain West Championship next week against Hawaii. But it has a solid shot at doing something special.
Don’t be so sure there’s going to be a one-loss American Athletic Conference champion. Memphis and Cincinnati might end up meeting twice, and if they split their mini-series and Boise State takes down Colorado State before beating the Rainbow Warriors, it’s a mortal lock to get the Group of Five’s New Year’s Six bowl game.
Colorado State has lost two in a row, but it played just well enough over the second half of the season to be a bit more respectable than the 4-7 record.

It’s all about to run into a rolling Bronco team.
Boise State has scored 42 or more in four of its last six games, and 52 or more in three of those wins.
With injuries at quarterback, the running game has taken over with 200 yards or more in four or the last six games and with close to 300 in the blowout win over Utah State.
Colorado State gives up more than 200 yards a game on the ground.
The Rams aren’t going to be a total pushover, but the Broncos will pull away in the second half in the push for Cotton Bowl.
