A Tyneside events venue has stopped taking bookings from a music promotion firm after allegations about it were made on social media.
SSD Concerts, which was behind last summer's socially distanced shows at the Virgin Money Unity Arena, had its Instagram account hacked by what is believed to be a disgruntled former employee on Friday.
The firm, which has promoted gigs by the likes of Sam Fender and Noel Gallagher and is also behind the This is Tomorrow festival, has since hit back at "false" and "malicious" claims posted on its page.
Those claims included allegations from a former worker that they were repeatedly underpaid by the firm and made to feel "uneasy" in their working environment.
Now Newcastle events venue Boiler Shop has cut ties with the firm.
In a statement on its Facebook page and website, it said: "In response to serious allegations concerning their management, we have ceased accepting bookings from SSD Concerts.
"We will not compromise our ethos: Boiler Shop is dedicated to being a welcoming, respectful and inclusive venue."
The SSD Concerts Instagram page is now no longer active.
Steve Davis, managing director of SSD Concerts, has previously said the firm does not tolerate bullying, harassment or discrimination and confirmed that the police were investigating the Instagram posts.
He said: "I am concerned by comments and accusations that continue to be made on social media about our company.
"This started after our accounts were hacked and some false and malicious postings were made. The police are now involved, so I can’t say any more about that at this stage.
"What I can say is that we do not tolerate bullying, harassment or discrimination in any form, or at any level and we have policies and procedures in place to allow the confidential reporting of complaints and concerns.
'We have never received an official complaint of this nature but we will investigate thoroughly should anyone come forward now or in the future.
"We are very much committed to empowering all of our employees and to provide a safe, transparent and positive working environment.
"We recently employed a senior manager and part of her role is to ensure that all staff are treated fairly and with the utmost respect.
"Since the recent comments and allegations on social media started, we have contacted every member of staff to check if there was anything they wished to report openly or confidentially, whether it be a personal issue, a workplace concern or a safety issue."
