Boiler Room Festival London: Music broadcast platform announces first ever music festival

Boiler Room will launch its first ever music festival in London later this year.

The music broadcast platform, known for its popular DJ sets that are filmed and later posted online, will host a four-day event from October 9-12.

Based in Peckham’s Copeland Park, each day will focus on "one of the UK’s most exciting underground scenes": jazz, rap, bass and club.

The line-up will be revealed soon, with organisers claiming there will be “no headliners” — instead, the bill will be made up of emerging artists from each scene.

Various multimedia exhibitions will be displayed around the site, offering deeper insights into the genres and communities in question.

Further venues around London will also take part in the festival and be unveiled closer to the festival.

The event will run with a capacity of 20,000 people spread across four days, and the whole thing will be broadcast on Boiler Room’s digital platforms.

Blaise Bellville, Boiler Room’s CEO, said: “With our first ever Boiler Room Festival we wanted to represent some of the most exciting music movements and underground scenes in the UK right now — partnering with the emerging DJs, artists and collectives who are shaping contemporary club culture, and giving them the biggest stage we can.”
