BOI’s measures to support startups

Targeted Groups and Qualifications

Juristic person established under the law of Thailand for no more than 5 years
Promoted activities must be in Targeted Industries
Has raised funds from VC and/or CVC ≥ 5 million baht
The project submitted for these measures must not receive any personnel wages support from other agencies
Must offer returns to the Competitiveness Enhancement Fund, or other suitable organisation, or the country, in order to generate high externalities such as technology transfer, stocks, cash, and other items

Incentives scheme for startups:

Support personnel wages ≤ 5 million baht
Permit to bring in foreign skilled workers under BOI Investment Promotion Act (Section 25/26)
