Bohs lead tributes after sad death of manager Keith Long's mother Rosaleen

Bohs have lead the tributes after the sad death of manager Keith Long's mother Rosaleen.

The proud mum passed away peacefully on February 18 surrounded by her family at Elm Hall Nursing Home Celbridge.

And the club paid a heartfelt tribute to a "constant supporter" and a woman who was "extremely proud" of her son's work.

They said: “Everyone at Bohemians wishes to extend our very deepest sympathies to the extended family and friends of manager Keith Long following the sad passing of his mother Rosaleen.

“Rosaleen was a constant supporter of Keith throughout his playing and coaching career, and was rightly extremely proud of the huge role that he has played in rebuilding our club.

“She was particularly proud to be present at those memorable evenings at the Aviva Stadium last season as Keith led the club on one of our greatest European runs.

“She attended those games with her family, including Keith’s three daughters Jorja, Grace and Esmay.”

They are encouraging all members and supporters to sign the online book of condolences for Rosaleen in solidarity with Keith and his family.

The funeral will take place on Monday, February 21 at the Church of St. John the Baptist, Blackrock at 11am.
