Bohs centre-back Rob Cornwall set for Achilles injury scan

Bohemians centre-back Rob Cornwall will have a scan on an Achilles injury tomorrow.

The defender missed Friday’s 1-0 defeat to Cork City at Dalymount Park and is unlikely to feature in this weekend’s second-versus-third clash with Dundalk in Phibsborough.

Gypsies boss Keith Long said: “Aaron Barry will be available but I'm not so sure on Rob. He's getting a scan on Tuesday.

“It's his Achilles. He felt it up in Derry last Monday. He's limping on it still so we'll have to get a second opinion on it in terms of a scan.

Alan Bennett convinced that Cork City will now begin to climb the table

“Hopefully we'll have him available again because he's been rock-solid at the back for us.”

Long continued: “Rob has stood up to every challenge this year. He's been fantastic for us.

“He's a good age (24), he's been around the league a long time and he's been a real leader for us in the team and stepped up to the mark."
