Bohemians snap up English striker Junior Ogedi-Uzokwe from Dundalk on multi-year deal

Bohemians have made their first new signing of the off-season with the arrival of striker Junior Ogedi-Uzokwe on a multi-year contract.

The Englishman signs from Dundalk, having spent the second half of the 2021 season on loan at Derry City, on a deal lasting at least two years.

27-year-old Ogedi-Uzokwe has spent the majority of the past three years in the League of Ireland after signing for Derry on loan from Colchester United in February 2019.

The Londoner had a brief spell in Israel with Hapoel Hadeira before joining Sligo Rovers in the summer of 2020.

He signed for Dundalk ahead of the 2021 season but found gametime limited under Filippo Giovagnoli and his successor Vinny Perth.

Junior made 12 appearances in all competitions, scoring twice, for the Lilywhites before rejoining Derry on loan in July.

The striker enjoyed a renaissance under new Derry boss Ruaidhri Higgins, netting seven goals in 16 appearances as the Candystripes secured European football.
