Bohemians have paid tribute to their former defender and captain Bobby Wade following his passing.
Irish amateur international Wade starred for Bohs during the 1960s and skippered the Dalymount Park club in the 1967/68 season.
He made a total of 204 appearances for The Gypsies and was part of a side that claimed FAI Cup glory in 1970.
Bobby's son Glen also wore the red and black of Bohs from 1996 to 1999.
A tribute from the club read: "Everyone at Bohemians wishes to extend our sympathies and condolences to the family of Bobby Wade following his sad passing.
One of the remarkable amateurs who helped revive the club’s fortunes in the ’60s under manager-coach Seán Thomas, Bobby was a skilful left full, arguably the finest to play in that position for Bohemians since Jack McCarthy decades earlier."
Tributes flooded in from Bohs fans, with one commenting: "May he rest in peace. My prayers and thoughts to go all the Wade family was an absolute gent."
Another recalled: "Super full back, had the pleasure of seeing him play many times in the 60s RIP."
Another Bohs supporter commented: "RIP Bobby, Terrific player in a wonderful team."
