Bohemian Rhapsody: Rami Malek and Ben Hardy join Queen's Brian May and Roger Taylor at Wembley Arena premiere

Bohemian Rhapsody stars Rami Malek, Ben Hardy and Gwilym Lee were joined by Queen hitmakers Brian May and Roger Taylor at the film’s premiere.

The hotly-anticipated biopic had its star-studded premiere at The SSE Arena, Wembley, the site of Queen’s famous Live Aid concert in 1985, on Tuesday night.

Starring Malek - who wore a white suit for the event - as Freddie Mercury, the film charts Mercury’s illustrious career and personal life as Queen became one of the most iconic bands ever formed.

Hardy, known for his role as Peter Beale in EastEnders, plays drummer Taylor in the film with Lee as guitarist Brian May.

They are joined by Joseph Mazzello as John Deacon in casting the band’s manager Jim Beach hailed as “to die for”.

Speaking on the red carpet, Beach said: “The casting itself has been an enormous saga. We've found a cast which is to die for.

"They've always been over the top, and when the suggestion came to do Wembley Arena it just seemed obvious.

May posed for pictures with the four leading stars, as well as wife Anita Dobson and bandmate and friend Taylor. Both Queen legends served as executive music producers on the film.

Actress Lucy Boynton, who stunned in a pink dress, plays Mary Austin in the film, Beach is played by Tom Hollander and Aidan Gillen stars as second manager John Reid.

Downton Abbey’s Allen Leech and Austin Powers star Mike Myers are also among the cast of the film, which will be in cinemas this week.

An array of stars turned out to celebrate the film on Tuesday night including Strictly Come Dancing stars AJ Pritchard and partner Lauren Steadman as well as Neil Jones.

Bohemian Rhapsody is in cinemas on Wednesday October 24.
