Two men have been charged in connection with sick bogus workmen scams on vulnerable Scots.
The pair swiped over £31,000 from two particular victims in Clackmannanshire, Alloa.
Police believe the crooks carried out the calculated attacks between December 2020 and January this year.
Forth Valley Priority Care Team launched an investigation and appealed to members of the public for information.
On Wednesday officers revealed that two men, aged 21 and 25, had been charged with fraud and consumer protection offences.
Police thanked witnesses and members of the public who came forward to help with the probe.
A Forth Valley Police Division spokesperson said: "Two males have been charged in relation to bogus workmen activities in the Alloa area.
"The two males, aged 21 and 25, have been charged with fraud and consumer protection offences from December 2020 to January 2021, after diligent enquiries by the Forth Valley Priority Crime Team with assistance from members of the public.
"These males specifically targeted two vulnerable members of the community, cumulating in a loss of over £31k.
"Forth Valley Division and our Priority Crime Team would like to thank the public and witnesses for all of their assistance in relation to this enquiry."
