Plane with 200 people on board returns to Moscow after cockpit window cracks

A plane with 200 passengers on board was forced to return to Moscow because of a cracked cockpit window.

The aircraft was heading to Bangkok before it had to turn back to Sheremetyevo airport.

The plane reported the crack after entering Kazakh air space, the TASS news agency cited emergency services as saying.

According to Flight Radar, the plane was scheduled to depart from Moscow at 7.30am but was delayed by 25 minutes.

It has now landed in Moscow.

Sheremetyevo International is the busiest airport in Russia.
