Boeing CEO Dave Calhoun has announced his decision to step down at the end of 2024 amidst the ongoing challenges faced by the aerospace giant following the 737 Max crisis. Calhoun, who took on the role of leading Boeing in 2020, will continue to guide the company through the remainder of the year to oversee crucial initiatives aimed at stabilizing and positioning Boeing for future success.

As part of a broader effort to revamp its leadership structure, Boeing revealed plans for a management team overhaul. Independent Board Chair Larry Kellner also disclosed his intention to resign, with Steve Mollenkopf set to assume the role following his tenure as a Boeing director since 2020. Mollenkopf will spearhead the process of identifying Boeing's next chief executive.

In a significant development, Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) chief Stan Deal will be stepping down with immediate effect. These leadership changes come as Boeing strives to address reputational challenges and navigate a path towards sustained growth and recovery.
