A body has been found during the search for a woman that went missing from West Dublin earlier this week.
Paula Molloy was last seen in Clonsilla, Dublin at around 3:30pm on Monday afternoon.
After the discovery was made, gardai confirmed they were ending the search for the 53-year-old from Clonsilla.
In a statement that was released today, a spokesman said: "Paula was located deceased on December 8. As such the missing person investigation has been stood down."
In a post that was shared on RIP.ie, her family announced the tragic news.
"The death has occurred of Paula Molloy. Molloy (Clonsilla, Dublin) December 8th 2020 (suddenly) Paula, beloved wife of Mark Bedford and a cherished mother of Dylan and Aimee.
"Sadly missed by her loving husband, son, daughter, mother Josephine, father Michael, sisters Lilian, Noreen, brothers Michael and Richard, mother-in-law Sheila, father-in-law Michael, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends."
The family also confirmed that a private funeral will take place due to government advice regarding public gatherings.
