Police were called to investigate reports a body was floating in a pond - only to find it was a dummy dressed in a onesie.
Two officers were called out to the incident off the Congleton Bypass in Cheshire on Sunday, CheshireLive reports.
But when the PCSOs arrived, they found a mannequin with long dark hair floating in the water on a lifebuoy, wearing a blue costume from the sci-fi film Avatar.
"PCSOs Gillett and Short were called out to what looked like a body in the water, thankfully this time it wasn't real," Gawsforth and Chelford Police wrote on Twitter.

Commenting on the post, one web user joked: "This the tragic alternative ending of Avatar that never made the cut."
Another added: "Some idiots about, why would you even do this, obviously out just to call mischief."

A Cheshire Police spokesperson added: "We were called to reports that a lifelike mannequin had been dumped in a small pond near to the Congleton Bypass Macclesfield Road roundabout.
"The caller reported that the item was causing a distraction as it looked like a body.
"Officers attended and removed the mannequin from the pond."
