A body pulled from the water in Larkhall has been identified as missing man Jamie Waugh.
The 29-year-old was reported missing after leaving a property in Glen Avenue on January 31.
Police wee called to Avon Water in the town on Sunday, August 1 where a body was found. Officers said there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the man's death.
A force spokesman said: "Police Scotland can confirm that the body of a man recovered from water near to Glen Avenue, Larkhall on Sunday, August 1, 2021 has been formally identified as missing man Jamie Waugh (29).
"His family have been informed.
"There would not appear to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding his death. A full report has be sent to the procurator fiscal."
