A BODY has been recovered from the water at a loch in Fife during a search for a missing teenage paddleboarder.
Emergency services, including the Coastguard, were called to Lochore Meadows in Lochgelly at around 5.25pm on Saturday after receiving a report of concern for a 15-year-old boy.
A major search was launched with a no-fly zone put in place from Sunday until Monday morning.
The teenager had been paddleboarding at the loch.
Police confirmed that around 1.20pm on Sunday, the body of a male youth was recovered from the water.
Formal identification has yet to take place, but the family of the 15-year-old have been informed.
Police said there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
A spokesperson for the force said: “Around 1.20pm on Sunday, 29 June, 2025, the body of a male youth was recovered from the water at Lochore Meadows, Crosshill, Fife.
“Formal identification has yet to take place however the family of a 15-year-old paddle boarder reported missing on Saturday, 28 June, have been informed.
“There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
