
The body of a woman has been recovered following reports she had been swept away in floodwaters in the Snowy Monaro region.
About 2.20am on Friday, emergency services were called to Tuross Road, near Countegany Road, Tuross, following reports a vehicle with two people in it - a man and a woman - had become trapped in floodwaters.

Police were told the female occupant exited the car, before being swept away by flood waters.
Monaro Police District officers attended the scene and, with the help of NSW SES volunteers, commenced a search.
Police located the male occupant a short distance away. He did not require medical treatment.
After 7.15am, the body of a woman was located downstream and recovered by SES volunteers.
She is believed to be a 37-year-old woman but is yet to be formally identified.
Inquiries into the incident are continuing and a report will be prepared for the information of the coroner.
