Body pulled from sea off Dublin coast

A body was pulled from the sea off the north Dublin coast.

The grisly discovery was made this afternoon after tourists reported seeing a body in the water in Howth. The Howth RNLI responded to the scene after being informed of the sighting by the Irish Coast Guard.

The body was located and recovered from the water by the RNLI crew. A spokesperson for the coast guard said: "This afternoon, our unit was paged to a report by tourists of a potential body in the water off Howth.

"Having taken eyewitness reports at the last known location, we were able to pass a drift bearing to @HowthRNLI who quickly located and recovered a body from the water."
