Body of man pulled from Scots canal as emergency services remain on scene

A body of a man has been pulled from the Forth and Clyde Canal in Falkirk.

Emergency services raced to Symington Drive, Camelon on Friday after the alarm was raised around 2.40pm.

A number of emergency crews are at the scene, including a water rescue unit and specialist paramedics.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Police were called at around 2.40pm on Friday, July 2.

The tragic discovery was made on July 2 (Daily Record)

"We are currently in attendance at the Forth and Clyde Canal in Falkirk following the discovery of a body of a man within the water.

"Emergency services remain at the scene."
