Body recovered from River Clyde near Clydebank Leisure Centre

A body has been pulled from the River Clyde in Clydebank.

Police Scotland received a report at around 2:55pm this afternoon near to the Clydebank Leisure Centre.

Emergency crews raced to the scene on Aurora Avenue and are still in attendance.

The body has not yet been identified.

A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: "We received a report of a body in the River Clyde at around 2.55 pm on Tuesday, December 21 behind the Clydebank Leisure Centre at Aurora Avenue in Clydebank.

"Emergency services are at the scene. We have no other details at the moment."
