Body pulled from Glasgow Canal at Hamiltonhill

A body has been pulled from Glasgow Canal at Hamiltonhill in the north of the city.

Emergency services were called to Applecross Street at 9am this morning.

Police say the death is not being treated as suspicious.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were called around 9am on Wednesday, 12 August, to a report of a body in the canal near Applecross Street in Glasgow, which was subsequently recovered.

“The death is not being treated as suspicious.

"As with all sudden deaths, a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.”
