A body pulled from the Forth and Clyde Canal in Falkirk was that of a 76-year-old man, police confirmed.
We told how emergency services raced to Symington Drive, Camelon on Friday after the alarm was raised around 2.40pm.
A number of emergency crews were at the scene, including a water rescue unit and specialist paramedics.
Officers on Friday afternoon confirmed that the body of a man had been discovered.

No further details were disclosed.
On Saturday afternoon police revealed that the deceased was a 76-year-old man.
At this stage there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the 'sudden death'.

A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman told the Record: “Police were called at around 2.40pm on Friday, July 2, 2021 to the Forth and Clyde Canal in Falkirk following the discovery of a body within the water.
“The body of a 76-year-old man was recovered from the water.
“There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances.
"As with all sudden deaths a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."
