Body pulled from Calumet River on South Side

The body of an unidentified male was found Friday in the Calumet River on the South Side, according to police.

The police marine unit was called to the river at 11:30 a.m. near the 3600 block of East 95th Street, according to Chicago police.

The body was recovered and pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The Cook County medical examiner’s office has not released details.

About an two hours later, paramedics responded to a young woman in cardiac arrest after being pulled from Lake Michigan near 87th Street
