Body of young man discovered in Scots village as emergency services race to scene

The body of a man has been recovered in a Scots village following a multi-agency response.

Emergency services rushed to the scene in the Morefield area of Ullapool in the Highlands at about 1.10pm on Thursday.

The body of a 26-year-old man was discovered.

Police, the air ambulance and members of the the local mountain rescue team all rushed to the scene after being called out.

Cops confirmed that there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.

A police spokesperson said: “Around 1.10pm on Thursday, 5 August, 2021 police were called after the body of a 26-year-old man was discovered in the Morefield area of Ullapool.

“There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the death and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
