The body of a young man was found on the side of a Wexford road in the early hours of this morning.
Officers were alerted to the scene on Fort Road in Gorey at around 4am.
A man, aged in his 20s, was found unresponsive on the road and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Gardai have cordoned off the area this morning and are conducting a full technical examination.
A garda spokesperson confirmed: "Gardaí are investigating all the circumstances in relation to the discovery of a man deceased on the side of the road.
"A file will be prepared for the Coroners Court."
