A body has been found in the search for missing West Lothian woman Catherine Gordon.
Police officers launched a search operation after the 64-year-old was reported missing from Armadale on Monday, Feburary 24.
Officers today (Wednesday) confirmed that the body of a woman was discovered near the River Avon shortly before 4.30pm yesterday.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Police Scotland can confirm that the body of a woman was found near the River Avon at 4.20pm on Tuesday, March 4.
"She is still to be formally identified but the family of Catherine Gordon (64), from Armadale - who had been reported missing in the area - has now been informed.
"There are no suspicious circumstances."
