In a statement Scotland Yard said: "The death is currently being treated as unexplained.

"A scene guard is in place and there are road closures affecting two lanes of the A4 at Talgarth. Enquiries are ongoing."

The A4 has been reduced to one lane while police investigate the scene - this has caused slow traffic in the area.

The pavement has also been taped off according to social media reports.

Anyone with information about the death should contact Met Police on 101.
